Top posts of the year – 2011

Posted by

So it’s surely a cliché, but since many of my favorite bloggers are doing it, I thought I’d jump on board. So here’s my list of top posts this year. Given the fact that I’m nowhere near 2,000,000 views like Susan Visser, and that I’ve only been blogging for a year and a half, I’m not limiting the list to things I wrote this year. 3 of these are on the most basic of DB2 topics. One deals with the WebSphere Commerce Data model – I’m not surprised that a starting point for learning the data model is high on the list – it is hard to know where to start with it. And I’m actually surprised that there aren’t more of the error-specific entries on the list – I tend to think of them as popular because they’re really things you can’t find elsewhere – specific actions to take when you get a specific error message in a WebSphere Commerce DB2 database.

  1. 10 Commerce Tables you should be familiar with
  2. Managing db2 transaction log files
  3. Stagingprop – SQL0803 – a rarer cause
  4. Locks – Timeout vs. Deadlock
  5. How to catalog a DB2 database

Oh, and at the top of my Christmas list is this book:

Technical Blogging: Turn Your Expertise into a Remarkable Online Presence

I’ve heard it is good, and while I’ve been blogging for more than a year, I have only just moved to self-hosted and am taking more advanced steps like that. Hoping all my readers have a happy and healthy holiday!
