You may have noticed that I have updated the site design for db2commerce.com. Check it out and let me know if you find any problems or have any suggestions. Web design is not my first line of work, but I’m pleased with how it came out.
I went live with the new design late last week after some helpful input from a few friends, and a number of hours worth of work on it over the course of several weeks. I’m still finding a few things here and there to tweak, but most of it looks the way I want it to now. May I just say how frustrating the design differences are between browsers. I like the site best in Chrome and Firefox, and am not as fond of how IE displays things.
I personally really like the new design, but would love to hear from readers!
That’s a VERY bright green! I think you might like a softer, medium blue better. I checked http://www.rapidtables.com/web/color/RGB_Color.htm and picked out HTML HEX color code #0080FF for you. In RGB, that’s 0, 128, 255. Try it! 😉
Are you perhaps trying to make my colors look more like DBI software colors?
LOL! No, DBI uses different blues, but blue is very popular color on the web… easy on the eyes.
In IE 9, the titles of the reply form come up empty. And checkboxes underneath “Submit” button are also blind. So, my name and email may have been captured incorrectly. We’ll see when my reply is posted.
And I second Scott on colors
I will look into that. The site looks better in Chrome. IE does things that no other browser I’ve tried does, but I’ve been able to get around most of them, hopefully this issue too. I think it was IE 10 or maybe even 11 that I tested it on.
